John Cadman Norris

John Cadman “Caddy” Norris was a labourer and a delivery man in the Saint Andrew’s area. Norris was the last visible remnant of a Black population that dated back to the founding of the town in 1783.  In 1948, he suffered a fatal heart attack. Norris’s funeral was said to be the largest funeral held in Saint Andrews at the time.
